What to do When You Want to Get the Latest Apple Product?

Mac users are a loyal breed. They look down their noses at PC users and cite reliability, better graphics and a more natural and fluent user interface as the reasons for their choice. Traditionally, Macs were the building blocks of the graphic design industry, but Apple’s technology advances have made them the leaders in the market for phones and tablets as well with the iPhone and iPad.

What to do When You Want to Get the Latest Apple Product

Whilst Apple is a pioneer in computing technology, rival Android manufacturers are quick to pick up on any innovations and integrate them into their own products, often at a lower price to attract customers. Not to be beaten, Apple is constantly upgrading its own technology and launching revised versions of its phones and tablets, releasing ever more evolutions to a market hungry for the next best thing.

I Want It Now

And this is an area where Apple has always been very clever with its marketing. They manage to create a buzz about their new products long before they even release them. By the time they do finally launch to market, there are queues of people snaking down the high street wanting to be the first to get their hands on the latest version of the must-have phones and Macs. Newspaper and television reports show people literally fighting to be first through the door and, therefore, first to own the gadget. Anyone who is anyone has to be seen with the newest version of the iPhone or iPad and the culture dictates that you are a bit of a loser if you don’t.

Apple Crumble

The problem with all this constant innovation is what do you do with your old one? Some phone companies run schemes allowing you to trade in your old phone in exchange for a discount on your new one, but this certainly doesn’t apply to iPads and Mac computers. There is always the possibility of selling them on eBay or similar auction sites but electronics can sometimes be a hard sell this way as the buyer is trusting that the computer is in perfect working order, with all leads and attachments included. And there is the added hassle of sending such a delicate item because of expensive courier and insurance fees. There is also the annoying resolution process to go through if anything does go wrong.

To address this problem there are now companies offering to recycle your old Mac, iPad or iPhone and pay you quite handsomely, depending on the model and its condition. Some of the websites will even pay for very old models with or without the cables and chargers. To further persuade you that this is an easy solution to the problem of older gadgetry sitting around the house, many offer to send you a free-of-charge return delivery envelope so that you can request a courier pick-up without any hassle whatsoever. A simple online form can be filled out and this will give you an estimate of how much you should expect to receive for your unwanted Mac.
