5 Tips to Improve iPad Battery Life

Lower brightness

This is the most basic option to improve the iPad’s battery life. Keeping the brightness at a low level will help save energy and thus in turn improve the battery life. More the brightness, more energy will be consumed and the battery will be finished off quickly. One can adjust the brightness in the Brightness and wallpaper option under Settings of the iPad. Moreover a feature called the Auto Brightness has been incorporate din the iPad which adjusts the brightness of the screen according to the surrounding lights.

Turning off connectivity

When no connection is required or when one is simply using the iPad to listen to songs, or playing videos then it is always advisable to turn off the connectivity. This can be done by turning off the 3G or Wi-Fi connection or switching to the Airplane mode. It can be done under the Wi-Fi and Airplane mode option under the Settings menu. It is also advised to use cellular data networks instead of 3G or Wi-Fi connection. This will definitely save more power and increase the battery life of your iPad.

Checking on the downloading of apps

Whenever one downloads or uses some apps, battery power is drained. To site an example, there are many games which do not allow the screen to go dim or switching off when they are running. Such things reduce the battery life to a great extent. Also, some apps which require internet connection reduce battery life at a faster rate. Hence it is always advised to choose properly and download only those apps which are beneficial to the user as unnecessary apps will hamper your iPad’s battery life.

Always lock the screen

This option saves your iPad’s battery power to a great extent. Whenever the iPad is idle you should always lock the screen. This will help in saving energy to a great extent. Locking the screen is very easy. Either one can press the Wake or Sleep button or one can turn on the Auto Lock screen option from the Settings menu.

Turn off unnecessary notifications

Some apps notify regarding new data when the Apple push Notification option is used. These notifications hamper battery life to great extent and they should always be turned off from the Settings menu. While using an iPad, these points should be kept in mind as these are very handy in saving precious energy.
