Going Green?
Just what does that mean?
Living green means making informed decisions of the choices we make everyday. It’s considering how simply different choices will help us keep and improve our quality of living.
Knowing how what we use affects the environment [highlight-green]is living green. It doesn’t have to mean that we are wearing hemp cloths and shoes made from recycled tires. It means that our consumption decisions are made with long term consideration.[/highlight-green]
Sustainable Design ,also called [highlight-green]environmental design, environmentally sustainable design, environmentally conscious design, etc.,[/highlight-green] is the philosophy of designing physical objects, within the built environment, and services to comply with the principles of social, economic and ecological sustainability.
Green is a color, of which the [highlight-green]perception of it is evoked by light having a spectrum dominated by energy with a wavelength of roughly 520–570 nanometers. In the subtractive color system, it is not a primary color, but is created out of a mixture of yellow and blue, or yellow and cyan; it is considered one of the additive primary colors.
Many surveys conducted prove that [highlight-green]green is one of the most soothing colors to the human eye. It symbolizes growth, freshness and safety. Moreover, green is closely tied with nature, environmental protection and preservation. Green is an effective color used often in web design recently. Several websites which incorporate the color green within their Web Design, are those relating to [highlight-green]health, environment, self-improvement, ecological and growth. Others simply enjoy the emotion that green inspires in a viewer.
We wanted to showcase several of these beautifully designed Green Websites which have incorporated the color Green quite effectively and intelligently within their overall design.
