When someone says that a site is on the cloud, it refers to a site on a cloud server. A cloud server allows anyone with access to a site to access the information on that site from anywhere. For example, a document that is saved on a cloud site could be retrieved and edited by the site owner from any computer in the world. If others had access to that document, they could edit that document as well. For ex. Allwebtalks site runs on cloud which has documents which can be accessed by public.

There are mainly three types of clouds. One is public which can be accessed by all the public users and can edit them. Another one is the private one which are used by companies and are not visible to the general public users. Last one is the hybrid which are both public and private as well. It can also be used private or publish depending on the permission. SAS,PAS are the examples for platforms on cloud i.e. Software as service and platform as service.

A private cloud hosting service is beneficial because there is less risk of the server being damaged or hacked. This is because a cloud server is not a real server. The information is stored on a virtual server that does not exist in the real world. For added protection, multiple copies of the server can be made quickly and easily to ensure that data is readily available no matter what.
