#1: Agar.io

Yes, Agar.io is still at the top in 2019! Even though the indie market is more diverse, games that require strategy are still favored by players. Not to mention, many users are already involved in the game and want to continue the journey!

Agar.io is all about surviving in a world where every turn could be fatal for your character. It’s entertaining and keeps you awake even after you’ve been playing for a while.

#2: Untitled Goose Game

If you’re tired of shooter games or being a sneaky secret agent that has to save the world, we give you the Untitled Goose Game!

In this game, you are helping a goose (the main character) find and obtain the objects it needs to complete various stages. However, things are not as easy as finding the things you need and taking them. You must use wit and cunning to gain access to restricted areas (such as a fenced garden). Moreover, your character must interact with NPCs and get them to do various tasks (even though they don’t have any interest in doing so).

Quick note: the game is not out yet, but we’re looking forward to it!

#3: Short Life

For those of you looking for something a bit different and special, we recommend Short Life. The game gives you control over a ragdoll-like character, which you have to guide towards the end of the series. The twist is that the character must reach the end of the game in as best shape as possible.

As you probably guessed, the action is sprinkled with horrid traps such as spikes, mines, blades and more. Your job is to avoid these traps and take the character alive and whole through the 16 chapters. Short Life is a game of timing, focus, and good reflexes, so you may not even realize when the time has gone by.
And, if you manage to finish it, try the Lucky Life game – the Short Life game sequel.

#4: Disco Elysium

Developed by ZA/UM studios, Disco Elysium is the story of an experienced detective who needs to solve a difficult case that disturbs his personal demons. The RPG takes you in an urban-fantasy setting where each decision matters for the outcome.

You will have to interpret clues, follow leads, while also dealing with strong emotions and personal issues.
Overall, the game combines logic and emotions in a challenging story. However, you may have to wait a bit longer to play it, because the producer didn’t set a release date yet. All we know is that it will come to us this year.

#5: A Plague Tale: Innocence

Set in France, this war story talks about a young woman and her younger brother who need to go through violence, war atrocities, and plague accompanied by swarms of rats that will devour anything in their way.

A Plague Tale is a gorgeous adventure that will keep you up at night due to the amazing graphics and storytelling! However, you will have to wait until May the 14th, the established release date for the game. But if you feel anxious about waiting, you can pre-order it on the site.

Wrap Up

As you can see, there are plenty of interesting and best browser games to try this year, so make sure to schedule enough time for each!
