Improving Your TV Signal

Smart TV antenna

If you have a conventional TV antenna, you could find it more beneficial to go for a smart indoor TV antenna where they boast to have the best range possible. For instance, the SMARTenna doesn’t only cover one TV but up to 7 TVs in the house. This does not mean that the signal is compromised in the slightest – it is all top quality output. Where you place the primary antenna is also not really important and they can be stuck up on a wall really easily with the primary wire easily connected. The smart antenna will also automatically scan and look for channels constantly without the need for manual interference.

Location

When you think about driving – if you are in an area such as in-between hills or in a completely isolated area, the signal on the radio may be affected. Often, it can even totally disappear, and this is due to the signal not connecting. The same can apply if you have a TV in one of these areas. There are things you can do to try and improve on this which includes purchasing a booster. These are not guaranteed to get you the signal but will at least support it. TV companies recognise this, and they have taken measures to try and get a good signal to as much of the country as possible (similar to what cell phone companies have been doing).

Quality of television

You could be messing around with antennas all day to then only find out that the problem is not with the area or antenna but with the TV. A good sign of this would be if you normally had a good signal and when purchased a new one, you have difficulties. If this is the case, then don’t waste further time on changing things around and consider investing in a better quality TV.

Fix Installation

When you are installing a new television then make sure it is set-up correctly. This will include the antenna that you are getting the signal from. Make sure that it is wired robustly and tightly otherwise this could be the cause of a poor signal. If you think that the wire could be the cause of the issue then simply replace this – they don’t cost a lot. Once completed, remember to press the scan button on your antenna to complete a manual scan from scratch again and hopefully give you the improved TV signal and output.
