How to Decide What Size Tablet to Buy

Tablets come in many different sizes, and each has its benefits and drawbacks, so it can be difficult to decide what size will work best for you. The Pros and Cons of Large Tablets

Large tablets can be very useful if you plan to use yours as a small computer. The screens can often be almost as large as those on a small laptop. Having a large screen will be very beneficial to you if you need to have multiple windows open at once. On a small tablet, you would only be able to see a tiny portion of each screen, but a large tablet will look much more like a computer screen with multiple windows open. Large tablets are also useful if you cannot read small print. Another benefit of large tablets is that there are great for watching videos. A large tablet screen will actually resemble a small television, making it a great way to watch TV online. The biggest drawback of a large tablet, however, is that they are more difficult to transport. Not all large tablets will fit into your bag or purse, so you might not always be able to take it everywhere with you. They are also more difficult to hold in your hand, usually requiring that you use two hands instead of just one. If portability is an issue for you, consider a small tablet instead.

The Pros and Cons of Small Tablets

Small tablets are great if you frequently need to take your tablet with you when you leave the house. If you have a 7 inch tablet, for example, you can easily stow it in your purse or work bag every day. Small tablets can also be held in one hand easily. If you plan to download a lot of eBooks on your tablet, this is a great feature, as it can allow you to easily hold the tablet for an extended period of time. The big drawback to a small tablet is the screen size if you plan to watch videos or do a lot of work on your tablet, such as editing or viewing documents or opening multiple windows at once. While small tablets are great if you want an easily transportable device, if you need to use your tablet as a small computer, you should probably consider a larger tablet instead.
The decision between a large tablet and a small one comes down to the purpose for which you plan to use your tablet. If it is primarily a recreational device, a small tablet might be your best bet. If you need the benefits of a larger screen, however, a small tablet may not be conducive to the uses that you need.
