Xiaomi managed once again to impress their fans by presenting the anniversary edition (celebrating 8 years since the foundation of the company) of the Xiaomi Mi8 and the Mi8 Explorer models.
The device looks like iPhone X, with an ultra slim design made from glass and metal, and a screen which occupies almost the entire front face.
Moreover, the distinctive notch on the upper part, which hosts the camera sensors, the proximity sensors, the ambient light, the infrared and the receiver is another unique characteristic of this model.
A Super AMOLED panel, made by Samsung, has been selected for the screen of the Xiaomi Mi 8. Its size is 6.21”, the resolution is FHD+ (2248 χ 1080, 18.7:9), the brightness 600nits and the contrast 60.000:1. It also supports the Always-On mode.
Processor
Its processor is the mighty Qualcomm Snapdragon 845, accompanied by 6GB or 8GB of RAM and 64GB, 128GB or 256GB of storage. It is remarkable that this model has achieved a record score of 301.472 points on AnTuTu benchmark, something that very few models have achieved.
Camera Specification
As far as the cameras are concerned, Xiaomi installed a double sensor vertically on the upper left part of the back of the phone, selecting two 12MP Sony IMX363 sensors, while on the fascia we see a 20 MP sensor, with 1.8μm pixels and aperture lens of f/2.0 for the best selfies.
Of course, the artificial intelligence functions of the phone are capable to help anyone to take some great shots. Notice also that DxOMark rated it with 99 points.
Operating System
